![]() THE St. James Theater. The reason why I had to drag my entire family to New York was because I was going to watch The Producers, with my darling younger sister. My dad paid $600+ for 2 tickets which only costs $100. Telecharge.com, legal scalpers. But it was totally worth it since it's practically my graduation/18th birthday gift. Muaha.
![]() [LEFT] "No flash photography or any recording device". No idiot would follow that rule when they know that April 4, 2004 is probably the last time Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick would perform on stage for the Producers. Before it started, I started taking pictures of the theater with the no flash. The chandelier was so pretty. Actually the entire theater was beautiful. And Mezzo seats are fabfabfab. Greatgreatgreat view. Uh, that's my head by the way. [RIGHT] Skip right on to the curtain call. Everyone started getting their cameras (much to the annoyance of ushers) and snapped away. And so I did the same thing. That's the incredible Gary Beach (Roger de Bris) bowing. It's blurry because everyone went mad and all.
![]() [LEFT] The stars of the show taking their final bow. The entire theater went mad. Screaming, hooting, clapping. Sigh. [RIGHT] A closer look at Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. They were incredible, full of adlibs but really amazing. So were their costars (at the background) Roger Bart and Gary Beach. I love those guys. Incredible performers.
![]() [LEFT] Nathan Lane talks about their last performance, donate for a Broadway charity, and how this performance will end up just a memory.. Aww. Standing ovation. Standing beside them is the ohso gorgeous Roger Bart and Gary Beach. Didn't bother including Ulla because I liked Cady Huffman better... [RIGHT] This is me standing in front of the St James theater after waiting for Matthew Broderick and the rest of the cast to leave and to sign autographs. The show ended around 6pm and it took Matthew an HOUR before he came out. Didn't get to have Nathan Lane's autograph. I heard he rarely signs, anyway. Dammit.
![]() [LEFT] There he is!!!! I forgot to unzoom the camera, that's why his baldness is in full view :D It took a few moments before it sinked in that I am actually seeing Matthew Broderick in person. Matthew Broderick is still cute after all these years. Sigh. Didn't get to talk to him. Seems like he was in a rush of pleasing everyone by signing autographs. Aww. [RIGHT] I didn't think that many people got to have their pictures taken with him. He and Sarah Jessica Parker were kinda in a hurry. But they did sign autographs. Good enough.
![]() [LEFT] As soon as they stepped out, people went screaming and cheering, and lightbulbs flashed all over. I didn't get Nathan's autograph, but my mom was able to get Sarah's. She wasn't in the play but a LOT of people were screaming "SARAH! SARAH!" instead of Mr. Broderick. She really does dress well... [RIGHT] The Producers lyrics/story coffee table book and my playbill with their (SJP and MB) autographs. I also had John Tracy Egan's, but he signed it inside. Oh well. Had fun. Tremendous fun. I took a LOT of pictures of Matthew Broderick but a good number of them were blurry. And full of heads. So it's one down, one to go. I've seen Matthew Broderick, and I only need to see Elijah Wood in person next. Dream on.
![]() AHh the ticket. The $100 ticket worth $360.
