A stroke of genius!!
Ooooh oooh! Last June 3 was the third year of kislapmata! Happy 3rd Birthday!!! Nonalcoholic beverages all around!!
By the way, I wonder why this post receives the most SPAM comments…
It’s unfortunate that we had to settle for fake DVD copies of movies that Philippine cinemas refuse to show, or have limited number of showtimes. The movie I’m talking about, pretty obvious if you look at the cover on the left, is The Producers.
My dad knows how much I ♥ The Producers so he bought a DVD copy of it. Peke, syempre! He’s sort of a Mel Brooks fan, anyway.
Mel Brooks: The original 1968 version (which I bought on VHS but I’ve only seen it once!) starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder was a cult hit and the 2001 musical version of it was a hit as well. The movie version of the 2001 musical which premiered in the US last December didn’t make a lot of money like they hoped it would. But after seeing the movie, I loved it anyway. Young Frankenstein is my favorite pseudo-horror movie. Men in Tights was weird, even if Cary Elwes was in it. My uncle has copies of History of the World and Blazing Saddles, and I really really want to borrow them. I keep forgetting
Oooh and Spaceballs! And that dracula movie starring that guy from those slapstick cop movies. Silly silly.
Anyway, I don’t want to write anything long since I have homework to do, but all in all it was fabfabfab. If only Uma Thurman knew how to sing well. She looked the part but she’s a far cry from Cady Huffman. I loooove Roger Bart, Matthew Broderick (!!!), Nathan Lane and Gary Beach. And Will Ferrell! If you’re not a fan of musicals, making fun of Hitler and Mel Brooks, don’t watch it. There’s a chance that you might not like it. It’s an acquired taste, as they say.

Happy 3rd birthday to your domain, Jecca! I’ve seen The Producers only at a preview shown in tv, I like the setting, the colorful and musical production! I’ll try to buy one if I have the time.
